Founded: 1995
Nickname: The Foxes

Glebe FC was established in 1995 by passionate founders, Rocky and Grace McMillan, as the junior team known as Glebe Globetrotters. What began with a single Under-8 team in West Wickham quickly blossomed into a thriving football club that now encompasses over 35 teams, ranging from Under-7s through to our senior Men’s First Team. Over the years, we’ve become a proud cornerstone of our community, offering opportunities for all ages and skill levels to engage with the beautiful game.

Our Journey

From the very beginning, Glebe FC’s focus was on fostering youth development. Competing regularly in Kent’s Youth Leagues, our junior teams achieved remarkable success, winning numerous trophies, including an impressive 10 London County Cups.

In 2010, we took a significant step forward by establishing a senior section, and by 2013-14, we were proud to see our first team join the Kent Invicta League (KIL). Our commitment to both community and excellence was further recognized in 2014 when we were awarded the prestigious London FA Standard Charter Community Club of the Year.

Despite early challenges, including ground-sharing with Holmesdale FC, we reached an important milestone in 2014 by securing a permanent home at Old Elthamians Rugby Club. This moment marked a turning point, allowing us to create a dedicated sporting hub for our members.

A State-of-the-Art Facility

Thanks to generous support from the Football Foundation, The Premier League, and our fantastic local sponsors, we’ve been able to develop a world-class sports complex. Located on 15 acres in Chislehurst, our facility features:

• Seven pitches – including a new 3G stadium pitch
• Floodlit training area
• Gym and fitness facilities
• Bar and reception rooms

This modern facility provides a home for over 400 members and a dynamic range of teams, from our talented youth sides to our competitive Men’s First Team, who currently compete in the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL).
