We are pleased to confirm that GLEBE FC will be adopting the name Chislehurst GLEBE FC.
This change reflects the geographical significance of our home and strengthens our identity within the community—particularly as we prepare to open our new 3G pitch on July 5th. Including “Chislehurst” in the club’s name not only highlights where we are based, but it also aligns us with a trend seen in higher leagues: in the league above us, 21 out of 22 teams have their location incorporated into their name.
This strategic step is expected to enhance our appeal to sponsors and investors, and reinforce our role in the local community.
It’s important to note that GLEBE will remain the club’s registered legal entity, and the transition to the new name will be phased in over the next one to two years.
We are also introducing an updated club badge. This isn’t a drastic change, but a modernisation to suit social media and digital platforms—something many clubs, including those at the top levels of the game, are doing. The new badge has been designed by Dean Murphy (Deanmurphydesign.com), who has put a huge amount of care and thought into reflecting the club’s identity. It will be unveiled at our Open Day on July 5th, when we open the gates to our new 3G stadium.
This development has been three years in the making, and we truly believe it’s a positive step forward. Thank you for your continued support—we’re excited about the future of Chislehurst GLEBE FC.
